Lauren's Early Birthday Celebration

Lauren is almost 26! We celebrated a bit early this weekend. Click on the picture for more photos.
Chris and I started our Saturday AM yesterday VERY early by leaving the house at 6 to head to Nashville. I dominated the Women's Running 5K, ha =) It was perfect weather and fun to run over the river and around the Titan's Stadium. Dinah was also there to help cheer me on. It sounded like Chris got a workout too because Dinah was super excited and jumpy due to the runners and noise.

Meal Planning

Chris and I are trying to eat at home more often in order to eat healthier and save money. This $1 dry erase board that I found at Target has been our key to success!! By writing out our meal plans ahead of time and posting it on the fridge, it's a great reminder to stay on track. Feeling super excited about this development. =)

Labor Day Fun

Chris and I had a wonderful time yesterday at Amy and Derek's cookout. Check out the picture gallery by clicking on the picture below.
I made a dessert from a recipe of my mom's that my Aunt Nancy found recently. I'm thinking of naming them, "gooey, butter bars". Super delicious! Amy and Derek made tons of good food...burgers, chicken kabobs, crazy cute sugar cookies in the shape of hot dogs!!!, and other delicious items. Hope everyone had a great Labor Day too!

How times flies!

I can't believe it has been over a month since the last time I posted. Lots of fun stuff has been happening! Most recently Lauren and I went to the Vandy football game last night. Though the Dores lost, LEP and I made the most of it by taking lots of self pics during the game and laughing hysterically. Then we went to a new restaurant called Taps and Tapas but apparently a private party was going on. Everyone was dressed all in white and there was weird club music playing. We decided to not stay as the atmosphere was muy bizarro. Chris missed all this because he was working the Vandy game, doing the defensive stats or something like that. (He explained it but I didn't really understand)
Here is one of the self pics that sissy and I took...

Also super exciting....I am figuring out the secrets to coupons from couponmom.com ! I guess it may not excite everyone but here was the best deal today for us...Angel Soft Toilet Paper 4 pack, normally $2.50ish and today with your Rite Aid wellness card it was only 99cents. I felt pretty awesome walking out of there having only spent $5.42 instead of $13ish. And now I have a huge pyramid of toilet paper stockpiled.
